Exiting The Weight Loss Roller Coaster

Have you ever felt like you were on a weight loss roller coaster? Many of us, (including me); have tried various methods and multiple programs in our quest to shedding those unwanted pounds. Some of those programs worked and some of them didn't. Eventually some of us reached our definitive weight goals and we got to looking good! Then, life happens and we all go back to living our ever so busy lives and before we know what's happening those unwanted pounds return and on occasion a few of those extra pounds comeback, sometimes with an extra few. We find ourselves asking WHY --- Why did I regain these pounds all over again? Here are few reasons:

Reason 1

Unless the method you chose taught you how to make better choices and consume the proper amount and combinations of protein, calories and nutrients......chances are you lost some weight; but unfortunately and more than likely, you probably had some muscle loss too. Loss of muscle is not the kind of weight that you want to lose!

Reason 2

Simply put, old ways die hard. Patterns become routine then often enough these practices are really hard to break because we conduct them without thinking. They're habits that became standard and now they're customary in our daily lives.

Reason 3

We must also learn how to recognize portion control for our own personal needs.....imagine sitting in your favorite restaurant and looking at the menu but not knowing how to choose something that doesn't encompass an entire day's caloric need! Consuming your entire calorie limit for the day in just one meal is more common than you think.

Reason 4

Plain and simple... there's a lack of support and coaching. Half of us don't know how we acquired those unwanted pounds to begin with so how are we expected to know how to get rid of it and keep it off? Your coach is your instructor that should build a program that is tailored to your specific needs. Throughout this process he/she will be walking you step by step through your weight loss journey.

Having a coach to guide you through your weight management program can be a phenomenal help to keep motivated and headed down the right path.

The Challenge

In a nutshell more than likely you're still lugging around the one thing you wanted to get rid of...FAT! With so many programs and weight loss information out there, we are left confused, trying to find that next diet, pill, program or miracle product that is going to give us the figure that we envision, yesterday!

It's important to keep in mind when selecting a weight loss method, ensure that it is a program that is personalized specifically for your needs and includes a coach that will help you make those simple lifestyle changes that result in permanent success and exit the weight loss roller coaster forever!

Do You Want to Lose Weight Using Hypnosis? You Need to Understand It Before You Start It

A lot of us have tried the conventional methods for losing weight like dieting and exercising but we still aren't seeing the results we want. Because of this, it makes sense for us to resort to the lose weight with hypnosis method that many people are using. Hypnotism really isn't a specific science or anything and it certainly isn't some kind of art form.

There is a lot of debate on whether or not hypnotism should even be taken seriously by the science community. For those of us who have already tried hypnosis sometime in our life, I think we can all agree that it does help us get to a sort of feeling of being relaxed. It can give a person a sense of clarity that they need to help them attain whatever goals they have.

This is why hypnosis can in fact be taken seriously as something that can help a person get rid of weight, and there have been four methods used by hypnosis that help people with their aspirations. Visualizing is the first method used by hypnotists. When it comes to visualizing and losing weight, the hypnotist has the person see themselves in the body they have wanted.

By seeing what you can be in the future, you are able to focus better on reaching that image in reality. Subliminal messages is the second method that a lot of hypnotists use to help a person burn fat. Doing this is very easy and its just as easy as the visualization method. This method is going to require that the person listen to an already recorded hypnosis tape before they go to sleep at night, and the way that it works is while the person is sleep their sub-conscious mind will receive subliminal messages.

When they wake up, they will be under a state of hypnosis in which their mind has taken in the subliminal messages that it received when they were listening to the pre-recorded hypnosis tape before going to sleep. They will then go and be focused on only getting rid of weight. A lot of people tend to fail in their weight loss efforts mainly because of the fact that they are too stressed out to stay focused.

Lose weight using hypnosis is something that is almost like a therapy that helps their concentration. Anyone can lose weight and they can do it using self-hypnosis because all they have to do is keep a positive attitude toward reaching their goal which is losing weight. If you can tell yourself that you are going to meet your goals then that is self-motivation which is a form of hypnosis in itself. You can either lose weight by seeing a hypnotist that is going to give you a soothing clarity or you can motivate yourself.

The Most Amazing Type Of Diet That You Probably Never Heard Of (Effective, Simple, And Permanent!)

There are so many different types of diets out here these days it will make your head spin! Unfortunately, this is NOT a good thing. It's not a good thing because most of those diets are ineffective, most of them are WAY over-priced, and with the plethora of programs out here, it's doing nothing but making people confused about what works best for losing weight! It's making people so confused that they are either giving up on their weight loss goals or they are falling for one of the most blanket-statement myths with losing weight... and that would be "just eat less and exercise more"! It's not that simple... and that's because every one of us have different goals, different body types, different situations, etc.

Having said that, if you want to just simply find an amazing diet that is GUARANTEED effective, incredibly simple to do, and also where your results will be permanent, then that is what you are going to find out today! Today I'm going to share with you the type of diet I went on that caused me to lose several pounds of fat in weeks... naturally, simply, and permanently!

The Most Amazing Type Of Diet That Is Basically A "Secret"...

My friend, I like to introduce you to the "anti-fad diet". The anti-fad diet is by far the most effective diet EVER for getting an amazing body! And no, I'm not being sarcastic here, I am 100% serious! The anti-fad diet is the most effective type of diet to go on to lose weight, burn fat, maintain muscle tissue, improve your overall health, boost your energy, and so much more.

I'm pretty sure you see where I'm going with this, but I'll explain what this type of diet is all about anyway:

This type of diet is NOT based on reducing calories, restricting carbs, restricting fats, starving yourself, getting foods delivered to you by mail, drinking lemonade... and that's it, or doing anything else that is highly restrictive, highly dangerous, and highly ineffective. The anti-fad diet is a diet that is 100% natural, it is based on getting proper nutrition, it's based on boosting your metabolism, it's based on improving your overall health, it's based on EATING food instead of being scared of it, and it is designed in a way that will make it easy for you to transition back to "normal eating" with your new healthy lifestyle.

So, as you can see, this type of diet is basically anything that is 100% natural (hence the name... anti-fad diet). If you want to get the body you have always wanted, please, I strongly recommend you avoid any type of unnatural dieting and instead opt for something that is completely natural and has been proven effective for losing pounds of fat lightning fast... and permanently.

And the best diet that I used and highly recommend if you want to Melt Away Fat FAST and permanently drop 9 pounds EVERY 11 DAYS is the "calorie shifting diet" from Fat Loss 4 Idiots...

I lost an amazing 52 lbs. of fat in 2 months (plus flattened my belly) using this popular online fat loss program... and it all has stayed off FOR GOOD! It works because it naturally raises your metabolism by having you eat REAL FOOD...

Is White Kidney Bean Extract an Effective Weight Loss Remedy?

Once considered to be the problem of only über rich countries, obesity rates are rising in horrific proportions all across the world. According to a study conducted by WHO, in the year 2008, 1.5 billion people over the age of 20 were found to be obese. The rate steadily increases with age, at least up to 50 to 60 years. Obesity is nothing more than excessive accumulation of fat in different parts of the body. If left unattended, it can cause serious health problems like type-2 diabetes, stroke, heart failure, hypertension, arthrosclerosis, gout, sleep apnea, cancer, osteoarthritis, and so on.

The four well-known remedies for weight reduction are dietary restrictions, exercise, medications and physical therapies. Unfortunately, all of them are associated with deleterious side effects. For instance, too much of physical exercise can injure the skeletal muscles, tendons and ligaments. Additionally, it can also cause fatigue, insomnia, depression and amenorrhea. Similarly, if you drastically cut down your food intake, you're likely to suffer from nutritional disorders as osteoporosis, scurvy, anemia, pellagra, goiter, etc. Medications and physical therapies also produce damaging side effects.

Is there a safe and effective way to lose weight? Well, the answer is white kidney bean extract. It is a unique nutritional supplement that removes all the extra fat from the body by blocking carbohydrate metabolism. To digest the carbohydrates, your body releases an enzyme called alpha-amylase. White kidney bean extract inhibits the release of alpha-amylase. As the result, approximately one-third of the carbohydrates are driven out of your body without digestion. For sustenance, your body needs a specific amount of energy. If carbohydrates in your food fails to provide sufficient amount of energy, the stored fat is broken down to replenish the shortage. Thus, by blocking carbohydrate metabolism, the extract activates lipolysis and thereby helps you to lose weight safely and quickly.

The effectiveness of the extract has been demonstrated in a study published in the International Journal of Medical Sciences. 60 obese volunteers took part in the study. They were divide into two groups. While group-I was given white kidney bean extract one-hour before a carbohydrate-rich meal, group-II was given placebo. At the end of 30-days study period, group-I showed greater decrease in body weight as compared to the volunteers of group-II. Except for mild diarrhea and flatulence, no detrimental side effects were noticed. With habituation, diarrhea and flatulence also disappeared.

Apart from being a potent weight-loss supplement, white kidney bean extract is also a powerful antioxidant specifically due to the presence of p-coumaric acid and ferulic acid. The oxidation reactions usually produce free radicals, which are capable of starting chain reactions. These chain reactions can cause either cell death or damage. Phenolic compounds p-coumaric acid and ferulic acid inhibit the production of free radicals, and in this manner, they also prevent the production of cancer cells. The extract is also found to be rich is copper and molybdenum. While the former enhances the elasticity of joints and ligaments, the latter neutralizes the effect of various toxins. White kidney bean extract is effective against debilitating diseases like diabetes and sclerosis. Due to the presence of saponins, it also promotes antibacterial and antifungal activities in the body.

Absonutrix White Kidney Bean Extract is a unique nutritional supplement that helps you to lose weight easily and quickly. Without causing any detrimental side effects, Absonutrix White Kidney Bean Extract will make sure that all your extra flab disappears never to return again. Try out White Kidney Bean Extract from Absonutrix today, and make yourself immensely attractive.

Ways To Lose Weight - Lose Stomach Fat With Low GI Food

The glycemic index lists the rate carbohydrates break down in the body and convert to sugar in the form of glucose. Those foods high on the list, say over 55, convert to glucose quickly, raising the blood sugar level. The body responds by releasing insulin to control that surge of sugar. Insulin does a number of things: it controls the level of sugar in the blood; it stimulates appetite; it stores energy, in the form of fat, for future use. This fat is stored, among other places, around the abdomen.

This means if you eat mainly the high GI foods your body is constantly going through this process. It is on a merry-go-round of taking in food, wanting more to eat and storing fat. That is why you need to balance the foods you eat. While your diet does not have to be made up entirely of low GI foods, it should be mainly low GI. For example, you can have a meal with some high GI as long as most of the food is low GI.

Working on a low GI regime is not as hard as you might think. Many common foods fall into that category, some of which you may be eating already. Bear in mind, meat and fish is not on the list because they contain little or no carbohydrates.

Here are some foods that are at 55 or under on the list:

Most vegetables - potatoes are over 55 but can be enjoyed occasionallyMost fruit - exceptions are paw-paw (papaya), pineapple, kiwi fruit and fresh apricots, which are medium GI foods, but they can be eaten with low GI foods to provide a balanceMost fruit juices - unsweetened is better and fresh is bestMost pasta and noodlesMulti-grain and whole grain breadsMost dairy foodsCereals such as All Bran and Oat Bran, but popular cereals like Rice Bubbles and Corn Flakes are high in sugar and high GI

The foods on the list should come as no surprise as they are the foods we are told we should be eating to stay healthy. Dietitians and health professionals tell us we should be eating plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, along with fish, poultry and lean meat. There is such a wide selection when it comes to eating healthy, low GI food, you may have to make only minimal changes in your eating habits. You are probably eating many of these foods now.

Whatever changes you do have to make will be worth the effort to stop that process of building up stomach fat. Choosing most of your food from the low GI list not only helps maintain your health but also helps lose your stomach fat.

Eating low GI foods is one of the ways to lose weight. You will find more ideas on how to lose weight when you visit http://www.squidoo.com/how-can-i-lose-weight-now William Burnell enjoys the benefits of following a healthy lifestyle and likes to help others to do the same.

5 Weight Loss Tips When You Are Going On A Holiday

We all need top weight loss tips to guide us as we take on a dieting program to reduce our weight. It has been observed with concern that most people actually do gain a lot of weight during holidays as they mostly consider this period as 'all systems go', gulping whatever comes their way without so much as a second thought. This can have serious ramifications on your weight especially if you were in the process of reducing it. Consider the tips below next time you are in a festive mood.

6 meals a day keeps the doctor (and fats) away

Ensure that you take up to 6 meals which have protein on them daily. By strictly adhering to this, you will be surprised to note that your intake of junk food has drastically dropped. As a rule of the thumb, your protein intake should range from 5 to 6 servings each day. In addition, this will help you to regulate the level of your blood sugar hence preventing fat storage in your body.

Exercise daily

Involve yourself in daily exercises. This does not mean that you should rush to the next gym and subscribe for their services. Some of us are still reeling from the economic crisis and can therefore not afford such subscriptions. The best thing for you to do would be to simply find an exercise that you can comfortably follow each day that will get your body parts moving. This could be as simple as walking or running for twenty to about forty-five minutes daily.

Slow down on alcoholic drinks

Limit your intake of alcoholic drinks. Research has proved time and again that alcohol consumption leads to a lot of empty calories. Apart from this, such consumption will have adverse effects on your body hormonal levels which will likely lead to fat storage. As we all know fat storage means putting on weight: bad for your health!

Avoid excess carbs

Look out for excess consumption of carbs. Some of these carb sources include: pasta, candy, breads among many others. The underlying point is to cut on most of the listed sources below and on the other hand to increase your protein, especially lean meat diets as fish and chicken.

Drink lots of water

Make sure that you take 6 to 8 glasses of water daily. You should take the famous adage that 'an apple a day keeps the doctor away' to also apply in 'eight glasses of water a day keeps the doctor away'. Our bodies need a lot of water for it to function properly. Not only does this help in digestion, but you will also reduce your food intake as most of the time you will be feeling already satisfied. You will therefore avoid overeating and take just the necessary amounts of food.

The above top weight loss tips should not be taken as an exhaustive list on what to do or not to do. Rather, take it as a simple guide that you should always keep in mind when you are going for the festive season or engaging in any holiday activity for that matter. This will help you to stay healthy throughout this time.

Now if you are really serious about losing weight, then let me share with you the best diet that helped other people lose weight fast! It's proven and it really works. To discover the secret to a successful and permanent weight loss visit http://bestdiet101.net/ now!

4 Good Weight Loss Tips

In order to lose weight effectively, one must follow some good weight loss tips. If you have never noticed, there are people who seem to pile up as much food as the rest of us yet never seem to add weight. In the same breath, there are those of us who start on a weight loss program and almost immediately begin to shed some weight. On the contrary, we have among us those who have always been on weight loss diets throughout yet they have not yet achieved their targets. What differentiates these kinds of people? Come with me as we look at some good weight loss tips that could mean the difference between losing weight and gaining pounds.

Avoid refined vegetables

Keep away from refined vegetables like the plague. One of the major culprits when it comes to adding weight and such diseases as obesity is refined vegetables. In addition, you should also avoid eating food which is made from white flour products. Such products like bread, cookies and even muffins are made by use of white flour and will probably lead to an increase in weight. The only kind of carbohydrate that you should take when on a weight loss diet is the non-starchy variety. These include but are not limited to oats, barley, legumes and other types.

Avoid sugary products

Make sure that you keep off sugary products. You will be surprised to learn that most of the products today are made from sugar and syrup made from high fructose. In the same way, don't be duped into believing that even the natural sweeteners as honey and cane sugars are good for your health. Actually, the best sweeteners that you might consider consuming involve sugar alcohols which should be taken in moderation. It should also be noted that artificial sweeteners are also bad for you and one should take to his or her heels when you encounter such products.

Avoid processed foods

Don't eat any kind of processed foods. You should be wary when going for weight loss products because most of them contain processed ingredients and other chemicals. Because most of the people selling these products are in it for money, they won't disclose to you that most of their products are bad for your health and won't deliver any good results for you. On the contrary, you will keep wondering why the scale is always shooting up even after you have consumed enough diet products.

Pile up on whole foods

Ensure that you fill your trolley with whole foods the next time you are out shopping. Some of these whole foods include: organic meats, whole grains (e.g. brown bread) and organic vegetables as well. In addition, you should also stock on good fats which include olive oil, heavy cream and some coconut oil. By making use of these good weight loss tips, you will be shocked that you can lose some pounds without straining at all. This is the essence of any safe weight loss program since you don't have to go through hell to lose weight; it should be effortless on your part and not something that will leave you with a bad taste in your mouth detesting the whole thing.

Top 3 Free Weight Loss Tips

We have all, at one time or the other, been in dire need of useful information on dietary programs only to discover that there are not many free weight loss tips that are of much use anymore. This does not however mean that there is no information on the topic; on the contrary, much information and discussion abound about the matter. The problem is that most of the information out there is conflicting and it therefore becomes quite an uphill task to decide on the right source out of this entire heap.

In order to separate chaff from wheat, we should take the following tips to heart:

Listening to expert advice

We should give priority to professional advice when it comes to following weight loss programs. This is despite the fact that there are numerous online sources which will portend to be authoritative on this issue but when looked at closely do not hold any water. The problem with taking wrong information is that it might end up ruining your health completely or altering your lifestyle in a negative way. This is why we should always be on the lookout when it comes to choosing what to believe as far as our health is concerned.

Don't trust everyone

We need to realize that there are as many weight loss tips on the internet as are living creatures in the Amazon forest. This means that we should be cautious on which information to trust since some of these tips are not well researched. One of the best sources that you have at your disposal includes taking a visit to your local physician or nutritionist. Since these people are professionals well-versed in their respective fields, they will be well-placed to provide you with useful information on this topic. Some of the critical issues that you can discuss with them include: which suitable diets to take, what foods to stay away from and finally, the best exercise for you.

Researching for useful tips online

Finally, note that effective free weight loss tips are also available online. Some of the websites with this information are authoritative on the subject and you just have to dig a little deeper for you to discover them. One of the ways that you can differentiate the good sites from the junk is by visiting numerous forums which deal with weight-loss programs. The people who frequent these places are certainly able to tell you what sites they would recommend you to read. Once you locate a good source, the next step will involve performing your own research on the subject so that you can verify whatever you are reading.

In conclusion, it will be worth noting that most of those who fail to achieve their weight loss programs do so mainly because of reading erroneous free weight loss tips which end up misleading them instead of assisting them in this quest. One of the information that you can be able to gather from effective dietary tips will include such valuable tidbits as: what kind of diet supplements is good for you, information concerning use of pills and how to incorporate a balanced diet in your daily meals.

3 Effective And Healthy Diet Plan For Weight Loss

One of the factors which drive people to seek a healthy diet plan for weight loss is because of the reason that most of the weight loss plans out there are no good. Due to the greed for money that propels most business people, there has been an exponential growth in bogus sites and companies which are in the business of duping their clients all in the hopes of making a killing. Once you settle your payments, they are done with you and won't bother to say so much as a 'thank you' when they bang the door on your face.

In our quest for an effective weight reduction plan, we are all driven by various factors. For some of us, a wedding-preparation will usually get us to our feet and across the street in search of the right dietary plan for us to follow. For others, this need is usually motivated by the desire to get fit for a certain sport so that we may make more impactful contributions. Still, many more will share with you that they want to feel better about themselves. Whatever your reason, you certainly want the program that you have picked on to work for you so that you may achieve your goals.

The following are tips that you should bear in mind as you continue with your quest to improve your body weight.

Eat regularly

Make it a point to eat more frequently. Most of the healthy diet plan for weight loss programs will tell you that the goal is not to limit your food intake but to make sure that you eat healthy meals frequently. Rather than take 3 humongous meals in a day, you should eat about six of them spaced out throughout the day. By taking your meals in small amounts and evenly spaced out you will condition your body to be digesting your food with ease and give it enough time to burn up the fat. Those who add on weight do so mainly because the body has not converted all the fat into energy.

Take exactly what your body needs

You should ensure that you take just the exact quantity of calories that your body requires. When it comes to eating calories, there is no right amount for all people. Each person will need his own measurement which is different from that of the other person. This is because of the reason that our bodies burn fat at varying amounts and therefore what will work for one person will not necessarily work for another.

Plan your meals

One of the things that are going to determine your success in losing weight is realizing when to take your meals. In this direction, you should note that carbs are never to be taken alongside meals containing fat. In order to do this the right way in your healthy diet plan for weight loss, you should take protein meals which have carb on them in the morning and those with protein and fat in the evening. This way, you stand to gain much more in your weight loss program as the above tips are recommended by experts in dietary issues.

Goodbye Love Handles: Your Guide to Fat Loss

There are many looking for an effective way of losing weight, but sadly they are not following the necessary steps in order to make the transition from flab to fab. If you have tried various dieting gimmicks, ineffective exercise routines, or weight loss videos and supplements and have not gotten the lasting weight loss results you are looking for, read on to find out how you can turn your "flab" into "fab."

The first thing to understand about weight loss is that there should be more of a focus on losing "fat" as opposed to losing "weight." There is a certain amount of body fat that is considered to be essential for proper nutrition, and the rest of this body fat is considered to be storage fat. For women, 10-12% of the body's fat is essential, while the remaining is storage fat. This does not mean however that you should only have 10-12% body fat. This is only the bare minimum percentage needed for survival and proper nutrition. 25-31% body fat for women is considered acceptable, while 32% and above is considered to be excessive. For men, 2-4% body fat is essential, while 18-25% is acceptable. 25% body fat and above for men is considered to be obese. Understanding your body's fat percentage is important when considering your weight loss goals in order to ensure proper nutrition, and that realistic goals are being set.

Now that we understand the importance of fat loss, I want to discuss different methods of putting fat loss into action. The first method that has proved to be effective is incorporating some form of cardio into your your workout routine. This should be done ideally 3-4 days per week for 20-30 minuets each day. Running, jogging, cycling, tennis, basketball, and other outdoor sports and recreational activities are all great ways to get a cardio workout.

Calorie counting is another essential practice to put into place if you are serious about trying to shed some of that extra body fat. For example, if you intake 1,885 calories per day in order to maintain your current body weight, and you want to lose 1pound per week, you will cut your daily calories back to 1,385. This is a decrease of 500 calories per day, and 3,500 calories per week. Since 1pound is equal to 3,500 calories, you will average losing 1 pound per week.

Nutrition is the last factor to take into consideration for fat loss. Proper nutrition is the deal breaker when your weight loss is concerned, because it is very possible to waste a lot of time exercising and trying to burn calories just to gain them all back and more when you eat. Foods that are high in fats and sugars need to be eaten at a minimum and replaced with foods high in protein and fiber. If you are addicted to foods that are high in sugar, try eating fruits instead of candy to satisfy your sweet tooth. Drink water instead of sodas and juice, and if you are disgusted by water try flavored water that contains zero calories and sugars.

Make every effort to exercise 4-5 days per week for at least 1 hour per day. Don't forget to add cardio 3-4 days 20-30 minuets each day (this can be done directly after your regular workout routine), add proper nutrition to your diet, and keep track of your calories. In no time, you will be burning that excess fat and on your way to a new fab body.

Choose To Lose Weight: You Are Not "Deprived"

I don't know the diet you're following, but I'm sure there are certain foods you obsess about and feel deprived because you can't have them. These foods surely must include Giant Salamander, Chimpanzees and Gorillas, Caribou, African Forest Elephant, Green Sea Turtle, River Dolphins and Gaurs (a wild relation to the cow found in Southeast Asia).

What's that you say? You don't feel deprived by not eating these foods? Why not?

The answer, obviously, is that you don't focus your energy on any of these foods (you probably never even heard of some of them). But some people would feel very deprived if they couldn't get these "delicacies" (all these animals are on the list of endangered species that people still eat).

Let's consider that word "deprived." Consider first some things that have nothing to do with food. Do you feel deprived because it doesn't snow in the summer? Do you feel deprived because you don't live in France? Do you feel deprived because you don't have a 55-room mansion?

You probably don't feel deprived, but why not? It's because you don't obsess over these things just as you don't obsess over the foods mentioned in the first paragraph. Maintaining an obsession requires that you focus intense energy on the object of your obsession and it's unlikely that you focus intensely on any of the foods or items I've mentioned so far. If you did, you would, indeed, feel "deprived."

You see, the reason you feel "deprived" when you're on a diet (or the reason you feel "deprived" by not having anything) is because you tell yourself over and over and over and over and over again that, because you've chosen not to eat certain foods, you are deprived.

You may read that and say, "That's too simple." If that sounds too simple, it's because it is simple. Getting over feeling deprived requires that you stop telling yourself that you're deprived.
I'm sure you've heard the saying that a lie repeated often enough becomes the truth. In fact, anything that we repeat often enough will become the truth for us. If we keep telling ourselves how deprived we are, it's not a mystery that we believe ourselves to be deprived.

In other words, it requires work to imprint on our brains the thought of deprivation. But we've been doing this imprinting for so long that it now feels like the truth. We simply forgot that we were the ones doing the imprinting.

Any habit (being right handed, speaking English versus Mandarin, getting angry at a particular relative and finding some foods pleasant and some repugnant) gets hardwired into our brains through continual repetition. We've been doing this for so long that we've simply forgotten that we created that habit. This repetition creates connections in our brains that, over time, we come to call "who we are" and we feel deprived or, at the very least, uncomfortable when we try and break that habit. We call this discomfort "deprivation."

In a very real sense, we choose to feel deprived. It doesn't feel like a choice because we've been choosing in this way for so long that the thought seems like so much a part of us. We've simply forgotten that we created it.

You have to hypnotize yourself into believing you're not deprived in the same way you hypnotized yourself in the first place: Through repetition. Catch yourself when you are suffering because you're "deprived" and change that to a different mantra such as, "I love the way I feel about myself when I choose only healthy foods."

Will you immediately feel relief? Of course not. If you suddenly decided to change from being right handed to being left-handed you wouldn't immediately feel comfortable about the change. But if you used your left hand exclusively, eventually, left-handedness would become your new habit.

Moving from "deprivation" to satisfaction requires repetition...the same way any habit gets created. Replace your self-talk that reminds yourself of your "deprivation" with self-talk that reminds yourself of why you're on your diet in the first place.

And be patient. As Dr. Wayne Dyer says, "Infinite patient produces immediate results."

How many diets have you been on in your life? How many have worked? The answer is: all of them. They have all worked and the proof is that you've lost weight on every diet you've been on. But you haven't kept the weight off. Why?

You know that losing weight and keeping it off is a choice, yet you fail to maintain the choice you have made because of blind spots you don't even know you have. You must transform your thinking before you can transform your body. Let me show you how to do that.

Living Up To The Challenge Of Losing Weight

There are so many ways to lose weight out there that it can be hard to settle on a course that is right for you. Some say no carbs is the way to go while others recommend calorie counting. What the two equations fail to miss is metabolism, energy and exercise. Counting calories can leave you feeling weak and wiped out. No carbs deprives you of many healthy foods all in an effort to lose weight without making note of other ways that you are damaging your body. In order to achieve maximum physical fitness, you have to focus on two things: upping your metabolism and getting the right amount of nutrients in your diet. If you can take care of these two areas first and foremost, then the rest will fall into place. But what is the best way to do it?

For many, the answer lies with supplement products that seek to ensure you're getting all the essentials that you need to attain maximum health. Face it. Life is tough. You have many obligations, and sometimes you just don't have the time or the energy to attack the things that matter at the end of a long workday. Supplemental products, such as those offered by Body by Vi are specially formulated to fill in the gaps where the rest of your diet is lacking in that on the go lifestyle. Furthermore, they can increase your metabolism, and that is where the real results start to show through.

Upping your metabolism is highly important to any weight loss plan. It's not enough to simply speed it up for a short while. You need a consistently active metabolism that will stay with you throughout the majority of the day. Taking supplemental products will allow you to do just that. When your metabolism stays high throughout the day, you have the energy to go exercise, to fix the right kinds of meals, and to journal in a way that is conducive to weight, and more importantly fat, loss. Without a high metabolism, it is easy to allow yourself to feel sluggish and fall behind the constant demands of the healthy lifestyle.

As you prepare to take on any challenge, the only way to be successful is to make sure that you have a well rounded diet and exercise plan, and that you succeed in accomplishing all you need to accomplish in the time that you have. Before you decide to move forward with a weight loss plan, take a good, hard look at it and make sure that it does not deprive you of the essentials that you are going to need for a well rounded, healthy lifestyle that encourages longevity and wellness.

4 Questions to Ask to Boost Your Fitness Mindset

Being motivated at the start of something is an amazing feeling isn't it? Don't you ever feel so 'pumped' up at the start of something, maybe a project, or a new job, or a weight loss journey, because you can vision and desire the outcome? It excites you doesn't it?

If you know what I'm talking about, then you probably know (and fear) what comes next. The fall. There's always that point in a new journey where that energy from motivation starts to die out. Your weight loss (or gain) journey starts to come to a halt because you've hit a plateau and you're not seeing the results you're hoping for so you feel like your hard work isn't paying off. Or maybe you started a clean eating schedule and then it's football season and you have a streak of days (maybe weeks) of not eating according to your diet plan, so you start to shy away from it. It's really easy to lose confidence and therefore be inconsistent.

Motivation can be applied across many aspects of your life such as business, health, relationships, interpersonal and so on. Covering all aspects in a general sense will be too vague I believe and might not be successful in trying to get my point across. Therefore, I'm going to provide a way to help you get motivated again using an example of an aspect of our lives we all need motivation in: your physiology.

Re-Establish Your Purpose

At the beginning of your fitness journey, what did you say to yourself? What did you PROMISE yourself?

Some thoughts may include:

"I want to be more healthier"

"I want to have more energy"

"I want to feel better about myself"

"I want to build more lean muscle mass"

Of course there are more variations thereof, but what I'm talking about here is that when you say these things to yourself before you start on any fitness journey, you're establishing your identity, your purpose. Even if you don't take you fitness too seriously, you're still establishing something from the beginning what will ultimately be your guide and support throughout the journey even in times of hard struggle. Be careful with this step however, because what you establish here will (or should) stick throughout your journey. If it's not solid enough, you WILL crumble in times of struggle and frustration.

Side-Bar: What I mean by 'Identity' is a way to indicate your current philosophy about yourself. In other words, you can think about it this way: If there were 3 words or phrases to describe yourself, what would they be? For example, I could say 'I am passionate about fitness', 'I am someone who inspires others to do what they love', and 'I am a happy, vibrant, and enthusiastic person'. That's establishing your identity.

By no means should a lack of motivation require you to QUIT! Because all you need to re-establish your purpose. You need a purpose big enough to bust through all the excuses. When you build an identity strong enough, you're going to look back at the excuses and laugh at yourself for making them in the first place. That's what I did. We all have excuses. I still have excuses. But it's only because I lacked to build a strong purpose or a 'Why' as some call it. So, I dug deeper, learned more about myself, and found reasons why I wanted to start and change my physiology and hence, my life for the better. Such reasons included, I wanted to FEEL better about myself and that I wanted to actually accomplish something meaningful to me. Re-establish, that's all.

Weight Loss Surgery - Is It Bad for Teens?

Even though weight loss surgery for teens is on the rise, it still represents less than one percent of all weight loss surgeries performed. In the case of a child having this surgery, doctors like to take a look at how the weight poses a threat to their health against the risks of such a surgery.

An obese child has a greater risk for brain pressure that can lead to vision problems, breathing issues, diabetes, joint issues, and liver problems. Losing the weight will help to alleviate these potential health hazards. The issue with surgery is that there have not been any in-depth studies that having the surgery as a teenager will actually help them in the future.

Having weight loss surgery will not assure that all the weight will come off or stay off. Surgery should not be considered an alternative to proper diet and exercise.

Before the surgery is even considered the teen will have to go through a panel of evaluations and tests given by experts in adolescent medicine to determine if it's necessary and could be helpful. Because of the lack of studies on the issue, there are no pat guidelines as to what age a teen should be to have the surgery. Much of it depends on the teen, the amount of weight that needs to be lost and their general health condition. Surgery of this nature is determined on an individual basis.

Basic Guidelines for Weight Loss Surgery in Teens:

Should be severely overweight and considered obese or fat.Their body mass index should be in excess of 40.Have reached the point of full-grown bones (skeletal maturity). Commonly this happens for boys at around age fifteen and for girls at around age thirteen.Have not succeeded with at least six months of doctor-managed weight loss programs. For girls, avoid pregnancy for up to one year after surgery.Agree to a very strict diet following surgery.Be of sound mind, able to make reasonable decisions.Very important - must have an encouraging home environment.

Reasons Against Surgery:

If either the teen or the guardian(s) of the teen, do not fully understand all the risks for weight loss surgery. If there's a medical treatment already available to fix the weight problem.Any type of prior drug abuse.Pregnant or planning to become pregnant within two years of the potential surgery.

Weight loss surgery for teens shouldn't even be considered unless all other methods of losing weight have been exhausted and only if the weight can pose a big health concern for the present and future. Surgery should be, in all cases, a last ditch effort in losing weight.

800 Calorie HCG Diet Yields Higher Losses

If you are thinking about starting the 500 calorie HCG diet to lose weight quickly, you may want to learn about the more tolerable medically updated HCG diet, now at 800 calories per day. The new plan removes the health concerns many have scrutinized in the recent months and was developed for both the Rx HCG and homeopathic HCG drops dieters. Dieters have not reported hair loss, no dry skin, less hunger and more energy. The plan now has triple the daily protein content, allows breakfast, more food choices including a variety of green vegetables, increased food portions and requires the use of vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids.

Homeopathic HCG drop dieters report higher losses on the 800 calorie plan compared to previous rounds on the 500 VLCD. The protocol was developed to provide the dieter with an alternative to the 500 that is more comfortable which enables the dieter to finish the 40 days of phase 2. The dieters report a reduction in the frequency of headaches and fatigue mainly due to the higher daily caloric allowance. The source of the additional 300 calories consists mainly of protein that helps in reducing hunger, raising metabolic activity and increases the burning of calories. By tripling the protein content, the risk of protein deficiency is minimal. Allowing breakfast raises the morning blood sugar level which increases concentration and prevents weakness, fatigue and dizziness. Breakfast will also increase metabolic activity throughout the entire day. Vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids are required to nourish the tissues, cells and organs and improve weight loss results. Dieters may indulge in some light resistance training and 30 minutes of low impact cardio aerobic activity as tolerated.

In addition, the protocol also contains a no fail phase 3 stabilization plan that will ensure stabilization and prevent chronic correction days. The no fail plan has been proven effective by following the guidelines as written. Dieters following both the 500 and 800 calorie protocols are encouraged to follow the phase 3 plan to lock in and stabilize correctly.

I have coached many patients in the clinical setting and dieters in my support groups on the 800 calorie protocol for over 4 years. I encourage dieters using homeopathic HCG drops to follow the 800 calorie plan that is now safer, more tolerable, delivers comparable results and reduces potential health risks. The protocol has been peer reviewed and was developed based on successful weight loss results from patient trials and internal studies over 3 years. As a licensed health care professional, I strongly recommend to inform your physician before beginning any restricted calorie diet plan.

You may request to be added to my Facebook support groups where I coach for free in my closed group HCG Diet 800 Calorie Protocol and on my page listed under health/beauty.

You Can't Get Eating Disorder Help, Unless You Do These 3 Things

The three suggestions you'll find below for how to get eating disorder help will probably not surprise you. They are no great discovery; they represent no superhuman insights. But sometimes, it's helpful to be reminded of a few common sense truths...

Suggestion 1 - Be the Captain of Your Soul

Anyone with an eating disorder who has taken that huge first step to health - admitting she has a problem - is naturally going to seek help from the outside. That's a courageous and wise thing to do. It's certainly true that knowledgeable and caring loved ones and therapists can help. A lot. But, ultimately, all eating disorder treatment starts within.

That means going beyond that important first step, toward the next one that's almost as big: taking charge of your treatment.

There are several ways to do that. One is simply not to wait for help to fall into your life; seek it out. Another is to believe, because it's true, that you can tell the difference between good treatments and bad. You don't need to be an expert to know when something is hurting you or helping you. Experience will show very quickly what works for you.

Suggestion 2 - Listen to Yourself

There's an implication of suggestion number one we should explore: listen to yourself. Sometimes you hear "listen to your heart." Good advice, but incomplete. Your emotions alone won't tell you what to do.

They need to be heeded - their role in health is essential. But you need to be guided by your mind, too. After all, out of the many causes of anorexia or bulimia an important one is that your emotions are sometimes at war with your reason. Bringing the two into harmony is a major onramp on the highway to health.

How to do that?

It's not easy. But a process of accepting better and better all the emotions you have is one key. You'll discover gradually which of them encourage beneficial choices and which move you to self-destructive ones. (Professional therapists often use a method called Cognitive Behavior Therapy, but that's just a fancy phrase for what we've just described.)

Suggestion 3 - You Must Act

Most therapy, whether carried out in a professional setting or alone at home, consists of counseling, i.e. communication. That exploration of the roots of shame, incorrect evaluations of body image, frustrated relationships, and more is essential. But there comes a time when you must go further; you must act.

Simply knowing which incorrect thoughts have led to unhelpful emotions that motivate destructive choices is one thing. But at a certain point, and the sooner the better, you must choose to change those choices. You must decide to act differently.

That is difficult, especially at first. But, the more you change your actions, the more healthy you will become. That will create a positive feedback. It reinforces that your thinking has improved and your emotions are more in harmony.

Some therapists call that a positive upward spiral. They distinguish it from the negative downward spiral of irrational thoughts, unhelpful emotions, and destructive choices that maintains an eating disorder.

Conclusion

The root causes of eating disorders is sometimes difficult to discover in a particular case. Fortunately, to get eating disorder help it isn't necessary to become an all-knowing expert. Sometimes, a little common sense can go a long way.

3 Tips for a Safe Weight Loss Plan

One of the most lasting methods that you could use to reduce weight is the safe weight loss plan. Although this program does not happen overnight but actually takes quite a while to carry out, it has been praised as a permanent weight loss method. Most of the programs that are being practiced out there are quite effective in losing weight but their problem is that once you drop weight, it piles up later as soon as you stop using the program. Not so with the safe weight loss method. So as to reap maximum benefits from this method, the steps below should stand you in good stead.

Detoxification of your body

One thing that you will be required to do in this program is to detoxify your body. This can easily be accomplished by using the right treatments or even opting for supplements. When it comes to making use of treatments, such methods like body wraps among others can be applied. On the other hand, supplements are used to assist the liver in breaking up the fat more efficiently so that it can be converted to sugar. This is instrumental in boosting the body metabolism and in helping you to reduce your weight much quicker. Another upside of detoxification stems from the fact that it aids in the removal of toxins and any excess fluids in the body which contribute to weight increase.

Burning up of calories

A safe weight loss plan helps you to burn those calories that you have accumulated over time. The problem with a lot of people is that only after they have accumulated much weight do they think of looking for solutions on how to reduce it. The safe method attempts to counter this by ensuring that any calories that you have consumed are used up to supply you with energy rather than being stored as fat. This has the twin benefit of helping you to stay vibrant throughout the day as well as preventing you from gaining weight.

Powering your metabolism

You will take in only foods and nutritional supplements which will be able to power your metabolism and help you to stay fit. Such kinds of foods include various fruits as well as vegetables. The main idea behind this is to nourish each and every body cell; not just to fill your belly with food. A big plus of going for supplements is that there so many varieties today which cater for all nutrients, from vitamins to essential fats. These supplements can widely be bought from numerous shopping centers scattered all over the country.

In your pursuit to look for a safe weight loss plan, you are advised to observe the following requirements. Firstly, do steer away from fried foods. They not only cause to increase weight, but also lead to a myriad of other health problems like cancer. Secondly, you should make it a habit to always prepare your meals in the comfort of your home rather than having them at fast food joints. Thirdly, make it a point to be exercising for about 40 minutes every day. This will give your body an opportunity to get muscles which will lead to burning up of any fat in your body. In addition, it will also boost the body metabolism rate.

If you are really serious about losing weight, then let me share with you the best diet that helped other people lose weight fast! It's proven and it really works. To discover the secret to a successful and permanent weight loss visit http://bestdiet101.net/ now!

Boost Your Morale and Boost Fat Loss

Today, I'd like to help you boost your fat loss efforts by helping you boost something else in your life... your Morale!

No matter how well we're doing on your journey towards health and wellness, or how well we think we're doing, all of us need a little boost now and then, don't we?

So I want to share with you some very simple, yet very effective ways that you can keep your morale high, and stay motivated towards achieving your fat loss goals.

Mirror and Measure...

In other words... "Stay off the scales!" When you rely totally on what the bathroom scales are telling you as you progress, you are destined for disappointment. Not to say that you shouldn't be maintaining a healthy weight, but I see too many people put too much faith in what their scales say, and not enough in what their mirror tells them. Even better yet, do some weekly measurements to really check your progress. Use a tailor's tape measure and record your inches from around your chest, waist, hips, upper arm and upper leg. Do these measurements religiously each week and you'll get a much more accurate idea of how you're doing than any scale could ever tell you.

Reward Every Victory...

Many years ago, when I started my own journey towards health, wellness and fitness, I knew that in order to succeed, I would need all the help I could get! Whether you realize it or not, the decisions we make all day, every day are doing one of two things for your fat loss: they are either taking us a step closer to our goals, or a step back from them. Obviously, we want to be continually moving in a forward, positive direction, so I decided that whenever I did something that took me a step (even a wee little step) closer to achieving my fat loss goals, I would give myself a "pat-on-the-back." I've even come up with my own "scoring" method for my pats too. At any given time, I can receive 1, 2 or 3 pats on the back (from myself). The better the achievement, the more pats I'll give myself. It's a small thing, but when it comes to keeping up my morale, it really helps! Try getting your own little "reward system" in-place, you'll look forward to them every time, I promise.

Find and/or Become a Mentor...

As far as I'm concerned, everything good in life gets even better when you have someone to share it with! Over the years, I've mentored dozens of my clients to achieve their goals, get lean and fit - and stay that way! When you have someone "looking out for you" it puts more pressure on you to want to succeed, and also you have to be accountable to that person. You don't want to let them down, right? No. Of course you don't. So you dig deeper, try harder, push yourself more and more each day until you get where you want to be! If you don't have a mentor currently, I would encourage you to find one. It's not that hard. Just look for someone in your life who is successful, positive and encouraging. Ask them if they will be your mentor, and help you keep your fat loss morale at a high level. Success breeds success after all! Once you have your mentor, and you've reached your goals, you can turn it around and become a mentor to someone else too. This is a very satisfying feeling, knowing that you are helping another individual achieve the same success (or perhaps even greater) that you have!

There you go. Three simple, yet powerful tools you can use to boost your morale, and achieve your fat loss goals sooner.

My Name is Dale Bateman. For over 10 years, I've been helping ordinary people (like you and me) achieve their fat loss goals with my common sense approach to health and wellness. I truly believe that long term fat loss can only be mastered by incorporating what I call my three components of fat loss.

Healthy Smoothie Recipes for Weight Loss

If you are looking for healthy smoothie recipes for weight loss, you have surely come to the right place. At this point in time, the number of people who are becoming more and more health conscious is increasing by the day. With the hype from the media as well as initiatives by the government to promote healthier eating, many people are searching high and low for ways to lose weight responsibly without starving themselves. And there is definitely a solution for that. This is where smoothies come in!

Contrary to popular belief, smoothies can substitute for a meal or two during the day without endangering your health. There are numerous healthy smoothie recipes for weight loss that you can make yourself in your own kitchen. Breakfast is a great time to indulge in a smoothie instead of a calorie-packed and oil-ridden meal. Smoothies are easy to make, delicious and highly convenient as you can take them with you and drink them on the way to work or school. One of my favorite breakfast smoothies is the banana-berry smoothie. For this recipe, all you need is 1 ¼ cup of orange juice, 1 medium ripe banana, 1 cup of frozen berries, ½ cup silken tofu, and 2 crushed ice cubes. Throw all the ingredients in the blender and blend until it is smooth and frothy. You may also add a tablespoon of sugar if you wish. This smoothie is so healthy that it composes 93 percent of the required daily value of vitamin C! It is also nutritionally equivalent to 1 ½ fruit and ½ portion of lean meat.

One smart way to incorporate smoothies into your diet would be to substitute your usual dessert or afternoon snack for a delicious smoothie. There is no shortage to the number of healthy smoothie recipes for weight loss that you can try. You can even turn it into a fun bonding activity with your child by creating the smoothies together! Another delightful recipe that even your child might enjoy is the banana-cocoa soy smoothie. Inspired by the banana split, all you need for this recipe are 1 banana, 1 tablespoon of honey, ½ cup silken tofu, 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, and ½ cup soymilk. Slice the banana and then stick it in the freezer. In the meantime, throw in the tofu, honey, cocoa and soymilk in the blender until smooth. While the blender is running, grab the banana from the freezer and add the banana slices one by one through the hole in the lid. Keep the blender running until the mixture is smooth. This smoothie recipe is one of the healthier ones as it contains vitamin A and vitamin C (15% daily value), magnesium (29% daily value), potassium (21% daily value) and iron (20% daily value).

All in all, don't make the mistake of thinking that healthy smoothie recipes for weight loss are impossible to find! They exist and they are delicious and effective!
